It sounded somewhat familiar. It was like the sound he heard when those insects were going by him. Only it was a lot louder, as if there were more. A lot more. Tahl ducked down and looked into the hole to the food storage area. His eyes widened as he saw a swarm of the shocking insects come across the wall. If they got attacked by that many of the insects, it would surely kill them. He took a deep breath and forced himself to remain calm. "James, Julia, listen to me very carefully. I need you guys to get out of there right now." There was some silence, as the buzzing got loouder. "Listen," he tried again. "That sound you hear now is a swarm of insects." (reply James, Julia) "Well those insect have a particularly nast bite to them. I got hit by one of them and I'm still feeling a bit numb from it. That many could cause you guys some serious damage." (reply James and Julia) The next thing he saw was Julia's face sticking out of the crawl hole. Tahl grabbed her under the arms and pulled her out. She was followed quickly by James. Lt Lowell helped him out. James reached back through the hole and pulled out a bag. The bag had some food in it. There were already several of the insects on the bag. James went to brush them off. "Wait!" Tahl called, but it was too late. As James brushed the insects of one of them zapped his hand. Bell cried out and dropped his bag. His arm lay limp at the side of his body. He was grabbing at it with his other arm. Tahl looked down and noticed a small army of the insects coming through the hole. "I think we should get out of here." (reply Bell, Julia, Lowell) Tahl was pleased to hear that the other group had found a transport. He turned to Lowell. "Why don't Julia and I get the transport. You can take Bell to the Communication Room with the others. I have a feeling we're going to have to move quickly." (reply Lowell) Tahl and Julia left the others and headed for the transport. He was glad to see her again. there was a sense of relief that she was fine. A small weight had been lifted from him. They didn't say much as they went through the corridoors. They turned the last corner to see the transport. There was a sea of the little insects over the floor, between them and the transport. Tahl could see something moving in the cart. Julia gasped. She told him that the captain and first officer were in there. Tahl rubbed his head as he tried to think. "What to do, what to do?" he asked himself. Bob appeared over his shoulder. "There's no way around it good buddy," Bob said, "you are going to have to go for it." "Are you crazy?" Tahl looked at the situation. "Who else is going to save them?" Tahl put his hands on the side of his head. He closed his eyes and tried to shake the thoughts out of his head. "Come on Tahl," Bob kept saying. "Go Tahl, go Tahl, go Tahl." Suddenly, Tahlmari burst through the wave of insects. There were little flashes going off all around him, but none of them made contact. The next thing he knew, Tahl was sitting in the seat of the transport. He looked over the controls for a moment and sent it forward. The shocks given off by the insects rocked the cart. tahl could smell something burning, but he didn't want to look to see what it was. Finally he was clear of the insects. He stopped to pick up Julia. "Going my way?" he asked suavely. Tahl's head shot to the side as he realized his jaw had just made contact with Julia's fist. (reply Julia) She climbed on board and they headed for the others. Tahl looked back in time to see a portion of the wave of insects had broken off and were now heading towards them. He hit the accelerator. The cart was slow to start. Tahl started thinking about that burning smell he got earlier. Finally the cart kicked into motion and the group headed for the Communications room. When they got there, Lowell had managed to herd the others. She had the two bags of food in hand. They managed to get food into the two unconscious officers, while Julia checked out James' arm, which he was still complaining about. Tahl heard her say something to him about being such a baby and smiled. James was quite indignant about the whole idea. Tardek managed to rouse himself from his stupor. He seemed embarrassed by his time of being incapacitated. He quickly volunteered to help get Tore'Len'Chi into the transport. With that done, there was little room for anyone else. They managed to position the FO in a dignified manner, and got Keysha into the passenger seat. James offered to drive, since he could do it one handed. He looked at the nutrition bar in his hand. He had been nibbling on it for past hour or so. Time had lost all meaning since his tricorder went out. The continuous glow of the lighting became quite waring on the nerves. It never change, and never wavered. With no change in the lighting, and without a chronometer, it soon became impossible to tell how much time had passed. Even Captain Tardek, and his refined Vulcan mind, started having trouble with time passing. Every once in a while, Tahl could hear him counting outloud. The Vulcan had an amazing sense of timing. Fortunately, Tahl and Lowell had looked at the map of the facility long enough to have most of it memorized. Now they had reached a section where memories were scetchy, and details were few. It had been nearly a full day since they had seen another room. Tahl took another bite from his bar, and chewed slowly. There was little food left, so they had to make do with what they had. He looked at his companions. Julia lay with her head on his lap. She had been sleping there for a while. If he were to guess, he would have said it had been an hour. She looked so peaceful. Even with her face dirty and a bit haggered she was still wonderful sight to behold. Tore'Len'Chi was in the same place he had been for the past two days, the back of the transport. It was as if he were in some kind of hybernation. Tahl didn't know much about the Tine'See'Cha, but he did know that Tore did not look well. Lt. Commander Matthews looked a little better since he'd had some food and water. But he was still a little shakey on his feet. He was sitting against the wall, sleeping. Keysha Vanderbuilt had gone into some kind of fuge state. It seemed that she was neither awake, nor asleep. Her eyes remained open, but unfocused. She was going to need a lot of help to recover from this. Lowell and Bell had gone off exploring, leaving Tahl to watch over the others. They had been gone longer than Julia had been sleeping. He hoped that they would return with some good news, for a change. Tahl was getting tired of spending his days trying to stay out of trouble and alive. When Tahl was younger, on the Zakdorn home planet, he had lead astray by some older children. in those days he had very little focus. They had taken him into some caverns, and conveniently lost him. He had been unable to recognize any landmarks, since he hadn't been paying attention. He was lost there for four days. Authorities finally found him after the boys confessed to their little prank. They didn't believe that Tahl had Morony Syndrome, since it was so rare. They thought he had been faking it. Vindicated from faking it, but condemned for having it, Tahl had been in no better position, socially. For him, the prank had been pointless, and nearly cost him his life. Now, he was beginning to feel that same sense of pointlessness. He felt Julia stir. Looking down, he saw her staring back up, into his eyes. He smiled with false courage abd stroked her hair. He wanted to kiss her so bad, but thought about the timing. ~Later. If there is a later.~ Bell and Lowell appeared. They were both smiling and breathless. They told the others about a room they had found. Bell was certain that they had found a working transporter. It wouldn't take them to the surface, but it sure would get them a lot closer. The away team gathered themselves up. Tahl and Julia helped Matthews to his feet. They all followed Alexandra to the next doorway. Inside were working machines. They hadn't seen anything working since the communications room. Tahl recognized the one machine that looked like an obsevation station. Then there was something that looked like a pad with controls beside it. That must be the transporter. Bell explained how it seemed to be a low powered transporter. It could get us close to the surface, but not all the way. It could only transport things from one transporter site to another. However, it seemed to be able to transport an unlimited mass. They had tested the transporter an objects, but there had been no living test subject. Tahl stepped up. "I'll do it." They all looked at him. Julia started to protest "It makes sense. If there's something bad over there, I'm best fit to handle it, and you are still in good shape if I don't make it." He saw Lowell about to say something. "Lt," Tahl interupted, "you are the ranking officer down here. It is imperative that you remain in control here." Tahl pointed to the floor. He stepped up to the pad and Bell went to the controls. Moments later he was on another padd. The room was dark. "Light." The lights came on. The same dull glow. He went to the control panel and saw what appeared to be a return button. He hit it and jumped back on the pad. He had been returned to the others. "Seems safe to m...," Tahl fell to the floor in convulsions. Suddenly he jumped up. "Just kidding." There were groans from the others, but a few smiles. Tahl had been looking to lighten the situation. He knew it was a bit childish, but things had been pretty tense recently. Julia came over and punched him in the stomach. They all climbed aboard the padd and Bell set the controls. They were off to the upper levels of the complex. Keysha sat at the back of the lounge, her customary place, cup of bright pink tea in hand and paying attention to what was being said. The Captain went through the introduction of the new First officer and also the new ACSO. Keysha nodded in acknowledgement of the two new officers. Keysha then let her mind drift but was called back instantly at the mention of the fact that they were being transferred to a star ship. ~A ship!~ Keysha marvelled. They were going to be on a ship!~ (Cochrane Research Faciltiy, Jeffrie's tube, ACEO Keysha Vanderbuilt, 18.45) Keysha was in the process of rerouting one of the sub processors that she'd found needed to be corrected when a message came in. "Ensign Keysha Vanderbuilt you are hereby ordered to report to the USS Steadfast, Deck 5, Room 7 at 1900 hours. Tell no one. This is highly classified!!" Keysha looked at the conduit in front of her. "What does that mean?" She asked the conduit. 'I have no idea.. better hurry though!' the conduit responded. With that Keysha started crawling out from where she was. "Computer, trace source of message." She enquired. "Message cannot be traced." The computer chirped back. Keysha walked as fast as she could to the transporter room, and then transported over to the USS Steadfast. With some degree of difficulty she located the proper place that she had been instructed. "Perhaps there is a power failure.." She whispered as there was no source of illumination. "Hello? Is there anyone here?" She called out into the blackness, this was a most puzzling set of circumstances and she intended to get to the bottom of it. (Reply Alexander) (USS Steadfast, Personal Quarters, Keysha Vanderbuilt, Day 2, 2406.03.04.0732) Keysha rolled over in bed. The commsystem chirped "Bell to all engineering staff, please meet in the Science Lab of the Cochrane in 20 minutes." "Ughhh... ohhhh...." Keysha groaned as she flipped over. "What, they want me what where?" She moaned to no one in particular. "Get up!" Her chair shouted at her "Time to go to work!" She punched a button on a wall hoping it activated the comm system. "Understood." (Cochrane Research Facility, Science Lab, ACEO Keysha Vanderbuilt, 08.00) Keysha rubbed the sleep out of her eyes as she stepped in the door. She really didn’t have any big plans for today, but just to get everything over and done with. After the last evening with Tahl, Julia was so relaxed, anything coulda happened and it wouldn’t have matterered. It would all be good anyways because at the moment, Julia couldn’t have been better! Julia had looked over some of the deck plans on the new ship and partially knew what she was getting into but not fully. She knew the medical decks were mainly on two decks on the ship and she would have her own office! A real office for herself! She walked into the sickbay to notice a few of her staff had already arrived but not all. The night crew were doing there rounds diligently as the rest of the staff trickled in, each one looking more grim then the other. The previous evening must have been a long one for her staff as well. Julia then started, “well, I don’t know about you guys, but I’ve had a fun time on this ship and look forward to new stuff on the new ship. I think the best way to do this is just to split up into teams and make sure everything’s put away properly for transport to the new ship. Every team can take a section of the sickbay. Any thing that we don’t use much or deem unnecessary, make a pile in the center and any of the live test animals that we have please leave them aside as I have plans for them” Julia then snickered as she was planning a little housewarming gift for James. She knew the station had many extra lab mice and other various insects that they were using for their research. So she would have those accidentally taken to James’s quarters and released in his bedroom along with any other insects on the bed. It should make for a good first night for him. Bell asked with a smile. Keysha just rolled her eyes and said "I guess so." Meanwhile, Shepard was responding to her greeting. "Jordan Shepard." The Ensign responded as he took Keysha's hand and shook it very firmly. "Fresh out of the Academy, I'm afraid. I'm given to understand that the facility is being transferred outright to this vessel. This is some ship of course....the Meredeth class. Does the engineering section deal in research, hands-on engineering or both?" Keysha looked at the new face to their Engineering Team. "Well Welcome aboard Jordan Shepard, fresh out of the Academy you're afraid." Keysha said with a smile. "Your question is a very interesting one. We're the Engineering team under Mr. Bell, but I believe that we do dabble in research as well as daily engineering. It's rather hard to say, though with us being on a ship. But I mean, in theory doesn't every engineering team deal with research as well? They tell us to build it (whatever the heck it is) and we do?" she paused. "Although I must admit the last assignment figuring out what buttons to press on the T'Kon ship was really odd to say the least. There were times...." She leaned forward to Shepard and dropped her voice. "Well there was this one time, where I pressed a bunch of buttons because they called out to me, and it sprayed pink jello all over the entire station! So yes, things were a little odd." She continued, "In fact, I'm rather looking forward to getting aboard a ship, I've sort of missed the thrum of the warp engines, and well, proper Jeffries tubes to crawl through." She paused again, but not for very long. "Did you know that I used to compete in the Academy Jeffries' tube crawling competition? I actually didn't do too badly, do they still hold that? Maybe you're a fellow Jeffries' tube crawler? Can we have a competition some time?" Keysha stopped, realising that she was not on topic any longer. (Reply Shepard) Then Ensign Bell spoke up; "to be honest with you Ensign, I don't really know what our role will be on the Merideth class vessel. When I first came to the Cochrane we were a research facility, then we got attacked and it seemed like all I did were repairs." Keysha nodded. "Yes, but maybe here, the devices won't speak so much." He nodded approval, even if he didn't understand the reason or practical purpose for the nose-art. All the fighters had it, all those from the Steadfast had recently been redone to match the fighter insignia of VF-12, Cochrane's unit. Several of the pilots had taken to naming their fighters, officially or unofficially. Considering the size of the craft, Starfleet had allowed it officially. THAT was something Menelian had understood, and his craft had officially been named "Red Talon", such was written in sharp red letters directly under the unit nose art. He grabbed his flight bag from the floor beside him and hopped up the ladder into the cockpit of his fighter. He settled into the seat with a sense of belonging, and let his right hand over the stick for a moment as he looked at the instruments. His left quickly typed the startup pre-flight commands, running through diagnostics of all the systems. <> chimed Imogene. <> He leaned back in the chair, and hit the button to close to cockpit. "No talking back today Imogene, or I will have you reprogrammed." he said without much humor. He was once again scheduled for an escort/screening flight, four hours of boredom and flying set patterns while the Cochrane pretty much stayed put. Still, it got him out into the Black, so he complained very little. There were several others on this particular tour, all of them were loading up now. Menelian hit the button for in-flight squadron communications and said "Wild four ready for takeoff." He heard various other replies, but half the group was not yet ready. He crossed his hands and waited, something he was very poor at doing. (reply any, none) (posted by Trout) Stardate:2406.3.4 (CRF – Deck 35 – TAC/SC/2O Lt.Comdr. There was objects everywhere and yet she knew she couldn’t take them out of this room, unless there was more then three or four. At the opposite of the room, was a computer, who still was working. Sinia’s fiance look really, really good. He took Alexandra by the waist and kissed her, leaning against the table. ~ WOW! ~ Alexandra felt her flesh weaken, he knew how to touch her and it was getting her turned on. Then remembering why she came here in the first place, she decided to stop him… gently. “I have to talk to you!” “Can it wait? I so much want you!” “I’m still on duty and it’s about the ceremony and the captain requested something of us!” “What kind?” He stop and caressed Alexandra’s face. His eyes plunge in hers and for a brief moment she forgot the reason. “You… You heard the message. Now, come here!” Alexandra escaped him laughing. “I have work to do.” A message came through. [[Dr. Krina is demanded in sick bay.]] He seemed to be angry but went to the room control console. “What is it?” “Officer Brok is in labour sir!” “I’m coming!” He closed communication then turned around. “I have to go but you will not escape me tonight… My love!” He let go of the towel and Alexandra couldn’t resist to look at him has he got dressed with a crooked smile on her face. Before leaving, he kissed Alexandra again and was finally alone. “Computer… give me the different ceremonial steps of the wedding.” Alexandra rush toward the console of a desk in the corner of the room and read carefully what was needed of the groom and bride. “At least, we don’t need to be naked.” Alexandra punch a few more keys and access Sinia’s personal journal. She started to read more when the doctor’s name appeared. His first name was Bono. In a couple of hours, Alexandra passed through the private journal, wedding vows that she had written, planet histories of the two delegations coming to the station. Out of the corner, the hologram pop in. Alexandra was furious. “I told you that I didn’t want to participate at this simulation. I thought I turned off the protocols throughout the T’Kon station.” He took a moment before answering. “The sector you had entered has a separate systems… and yes you did turned off the holodecks. You gave me a special code that authorise you to work and study here.” “That I didn’t know!” “You have to go through the simulation form beginning to end like you wished Lt. If I just said no, and asked the questions later, I wouldn’t be here in the first place. ~ Alexandra got up wondering what to do next, the answer came easily. She just had to continue this simulation. ~ Okay! Sinia was a chief security officer. I am a chief security officer, so stepping in her shoes shouldn’t be that hard. Sinia put up security measures for these peace talks. Historically speaking, those two had confrontations with the T’Kon empire before. Sinia lost her father in the war with the Norsa. ~ Alexandra walked out of her room. Lifting her head to look around, Alexandra realised that her ancient quarters was Sinia’s room before. What can I do for you?” Alexandra stayed in sight of the four men. One of the group came toward her, he was of the Norsa group. “Are you Sinia the fighter on Markan IV?” “I am!” Alexandra remembered vaguely what she read in Sinia’s journal and visual records. It was a real carnage but Sinia managed to save a school full of Norsa children. It was the event that gave her the promotion of Lieutenant two years ago. “Are people owe you a debt of life.” “The debt will be paid if peace holds a year.” “Lt. He clibed out of the cockpit grabbing a small, brightly wrapped package on his way out. He hopped down before the ladder could be brought over to him. The first order of business was to give the ship a complete inspection. Things can happen, even on a short trip. He ran his hads over the surface of the hull. He "felt" for any abnormalities that might have been undetected by the ships AI. Everything seemed fine. The Zakdorn took a step back and looked proudly at his ship. As with everything else in this squadron, things just seemed to happen. Soon after the Xenolathe attack Tahl found that his ship had been decorated. During the night someone had painted a starburts on the nose with, what looked like a comet, shooting away from it. Under the picture was the title "Killer Comet". Tahl laughed at the reference. Now he took a moment to enjoy that his squad thought highly of him. He spent the next hour supervising the storage of thefighters and their equipment. The crew of the Steadfast was quite diligent and proficient, but Tahl felt more comfortable knowing where everything was. Suddenly an announcement was made ship wide. =^="Attention all hands, this is the Captain. I have an important announcement. It may come as a surprise to many of you, but it is something I have been considering for some time. I have tendered my resignation from Starfleet, and that resignation has been accepted. As of this moment, I am no longer your commanding officer. Robin Alexander is now officially in command of this facility. May you serve him as well as you have served me. I consider myself privileged to have commanded such a talented collection of individuals, and am pleased to announce that I will be remaining on board as a civilian scientist, so I will continue to be able to work with many of you. Thank you. Computer, this is Captain Tardek. Transfer all command codes and command of USS Steadfast to Captain Robin Alexander!" <> "I relieve you sir!" came the voice of the new captain. "I stand relieved!" replied Tardek. "My first act as Captain is to thank Captain Tardek for all his efforts as CO of the Cochrane Research Facility. With that in mind I know enact the special dispensation given by SQNCO LoDona. The USS Steadfast is hereby renamed the USS Cochrane. Computer please note same in the ship's log!" <> the computer intoned.>>=^= And so ended the ceremony. Tahl was shocked, as was the remainder of the crew. Tahl had spent only a little time with the captain since their adventure on Planet A. He knew that the Vulcan was not happy, even for a Vulcan, but nothing had ever been said about resigning his commission. Tahl looked around the bay seeing everyone standing around. He broke the silence. "What are you all standing around for. Same job, different captain. Let's get moving." The crewmen got right back to work. Tahl's mind had begin to wander. His mind turned through the events of last night. His body stirred a little as he pictured Julia, still asleep in his bed, as he left for work. He had left her a holo note, and a flower he had gotten from the arborium. The gift reminded him of the gift he had taken from his ship. Yesterday had been Alexandra Lowell's birthday. He had not seen her to give her a present. They had become quite friendly in the time since Planet A. They had saved each other several times down there. This had built a mutual respect between them. They had become work out and training partners with their martial arts. His gift wasn't much, but he had learned that humans value the sentiment rather than the gift. It was a book on ancient Zakdorn weapons. "Computer, where is Lt. Commander Lowell?" <> Tahl sighed. Computers do not always answer the question asked. He tried again. "Then where did she go." <> "Great," he said to himself. Now he was going to have to hunt her down. Knowing Lowell, she was probably giving the CRF a final excursion. "Scan CRF and locate Lt. Comander Lowell." <> "What?" <> "I heard you," Tahl interrupted. He went to a console and accessed the sensors. Sure enough, there was no sign of Lowell on CRF. ~That's strange.~ He reconfigured the sensors to scan for all life signs. There were still several dozen people on the CRF. Then he noticed something strange. There were several areas that could not be scanned. "I am so tired of dampening fields," Tahl was exasperated. Obviously Lowell was in one of these three areas. Well, there was nothing like checking things out yourself. Tahl headed for the transporter. Besides, he too would like to have a last chance to explore unkown areas of the station. He punched in the coordinates to just outside the first dampened area. He downloaded a map leading to the others to his tricorder. Tahl went to the transporter pad and set off to find Alexandra. ~I hope she isn't having to much fun without me.~ (reply none) (posted by Al Muir) Stardate:2406.3.4 (CRF – Deck ?? – TAC/SC/2O Lt.Comdr. (USS Steadfast - Bridge - CO + FO - Day 2 - 2406.03.04.1030) Tardek and Robin both emerged from the turbolift into the hive of activity that was the bridge of the massive starship. The move was progressing as scheduled and both men were impressed with the efficiency of the crew. Tardek paused for a moment, then walked down to the command chair and keyed the intercom. "Attention all hands, this is the Captain. Thank you." Has he saw the weapons load on the transporter pad and disappear an another security officer walked in. “Officer Tarz, I was searching for you!” “You found me… be brief!” “I can’t find Lt. Comdr. Lowell! The computer says that she is on board but doesn’t want to give me the location.” “It’s impossible!” Tarz walked up to the console. “Computer, give the location of Lt. Comdr. Lowell!” [[ Lt. Comdr. Lowell is on board the Station Cochrane!]] “Computer, give me the exact location of the Lt. Comdr.” [[ I don’t understand this question… Please reformulate.]] Tarz turned around and look at the Security officer. “Go back to work! I will see what I can find out.” (USS Steadfast, Bridge, 1032) Tarz arrived and witness the change of command between Captain Tardek and now the new Captain Robin Alexander. He waited patiently up to the end of the protocol. "Attention all hands, this is the Captain. I have an important announcement. Transfer all command codes and command of USS Steadfast to Captain Robin Alexander!" [[Command Codes transferred. The USS Steadfast is hereby renamed the USS Cochrane. Computer please note same in the ship's log!" [[Dispensation noted. USS Steadfast is now USS Cochrane]] the computer intoned. Robin took his seat in the command chair. It wasn't entirely uncomfortable. He looked around to see the shocked faces of the crew but their training took over and they returned to their duties. "As soon as all crew, equipment and supplies have been loaded aboard, set course for Starbase Geneva, warp 7!" "Aye sir!" Tarz came forward and look at Tardek and Alexander. Tarz turned toward Tardek knowing full well he had to say something. “It was an honor to serve with you… I’m glade that you are staying with us!” Then he turned toward Alexander. The areas was very dimly lit. He gave a slight shudder, remembering the whole Planet A thing. Too many deaths occurred on that mission. He opened his tricorder and began to scan for life signs. There were none. and there was a huge void in the area of the dampening field. "What could possibly be down here?" he asked himself, with a chill. It was definitely a weird feeling. He wandered through the halls finding one empty room after another. Then he went to a wall panel. "Computer, what is the purpose of this level?" <>> Tahl scratched his head, "Identify deck level." <> "Be more specific, where on CRF is he? <> Tahl raised one eyebrow. It was obvious he wasn't going to get anything from the computer. "Computer, where is Lt. Commander Lowell?" <> Tahl rubbed his forhead in frustration. "Can you show me where?" <> Tahl waited for more, but the computer had answered his question and was obviously unwilling to give more voluntarily. "Computer, show me where Lt. Commander Lowell is." The computer beeped. <> "What?" Tahl had hit his frustration level and was ready to shoot the terminal he was at with his phaser. <> Now Tahl was getting worried. This was most unusual. Normally the T'Kon technology was most compliant, even giving suggestions for more efficient work. Tahl was getting a knot in his stomach. He looked at his tricorder and saw where the next unrevealed area was. "I guess we're on our own," he said to himself, and started to the turbolift. Sudennly a thought began repeating itself over an over in his mind. ::Captain Tardek, Keysha, B’Lanor, T’Len can you hear me? I need help. Deck 35, Lowell, Deck 35 Lowell. Help me! A strange energy anomaly appeared on deck 35 of the station but Fugan was unable to scan any further. ~Lt. Alexandra Lowell - Day 2 - 2406.03.04.1035) Mission: A Farewell to Things, Day 1 Stardate 2406.03.04 When Alexandra woke up, she found herself in Sickbay, that look slightly different. Beside her, was her fiance that was observing her and her life signs. “You scared me half to death!” he said caressing Alexandra’s hair. Alexandra looked around and recognised the commander’s rank uniform, it was Comdr. Sorktis. She looked at him. “Was he caught?” “No! She used the STS transport remotely.” Alexandra return her gaze to her fiance, who looked relieved. “I don’t have to ask the usual question to test your memory.” “I’m sorry if I scared you! How long was I out?” “About three hours! I gave you a physical will you were here… You were do to have one anyway.” He smiled, but it was more malicious. “You kept something from me!” In reality, it was only half an hour that Alexandra wasn’t conscious but she really felt like she hit her head. “I’m in no mood to guess. I have an headache the size of this station.” “I will solve this!” The Doctor went to search a device, scanned her head and put it exactly where it hurt. Immediately, the pain was gone to be replace by a pulsating vibration. “In a few minutes the treatment will be finish. Like I said, you have kept a really good news from me.” “What news?” “You are pregnant, about two weeks and it’s twins that we will have.” He took her hand close to his chest. “Are you sure?” Alexandra was shock. “Look for yourself!” The doctor showed Alexandra a pad where she could see two fœtus. They were well formed, and the parameter on the side of the screen showed that they were in perfect health. ~ I can’t believe this. I hope this simulation be over before I have them. I don’t want to go through this. ~ Before Alexandra could regain some senses, the Comdr. decided add something else. “I have other news!” He said that taking a few steps toward the edge of the bed. “The captain left the station with five security officers and a skeleton crew. He didn’t gave me any details… did he talk to you about this.” “No he didn’t!” Alexandra felt the need to sit but her head said other wise, suddenly feeling dizzy. “He left a message for you. You will mediate the peace treaty and I with you take care of the spy problem.” “It could be spies! My suggestion is to analyse all transported data for any anomalies since the security officers of the two groups arrived on board. That is where I would start. They probably control one and from there can go anywhere.” “From that point I will do what is needed! Rest Lieutenant, you certainly need it.” “I will stay with her Commander.” “Good night then!” Alexandra laid back on the bed and has anyone left Sick bay at the exception of her fiance. Alexandra turn around and around in her head the events of the day. ~ The T’Kon people were empathic, in it seem that I have the power for now. Could I contact anyone. Let’s try this because it’s now or never! ~ Alexandra concentrate, calm herself, and took long deep breath. Then concentrate, thinking about her crewmates that were empathic. ~ Captain Tardek, Keysha, B’Lanor, T’Len can you hear me? I need help. Deck 35, Lowell, Deck 35 Lowell. Help me!
